Classic Farmhouse, Provence

Farmhouses in the plains either side of the Rhone tend to be long, often thin, with their backs to the Mistral and their fronts sheltered in summer by plane trees. This one is in the classic tradition with a new extension that fits with that, extending to the east and housing a huge kitchen and dining area which leads out to the east - towards the new pool area - and also south for outdoor dining.
